Father Timothy Goodly Our Priest, Pastor, Shepherd
Father Timothy Goodly has been a priest for more than 25 years. Father Goodly attended Saint Joseph Seminary College, Notre Dame Seminary, and in May 1993 was ordained a priest in the Diocese of Lake Charles.
Father Goodly has been the pastor of Saint Henry and Immaculate Heart of Mary in Lake Charles, Sacred Heart in Creole, Our Lady Star of the Sea in Cameron, and was most recently at Saint Pius X in Ragley.
In June of 2012, while pastoring Sacred Heart and Our Lady Star of the Sea, The Shrine of Our Lady Star of the Sea, at the request of Bishop Provost, was granted a “spiritual bond” with the oldest church dedicated to Mary in Western Europe – the Basilica of Saint Mary Major in Rome.
In August 2014, Father Timothy Goodly became the founding pastor of Saint Pius X when the Most Reverend Glen John Provost, Bishop of Lake Charles, presented the Decree of Establishment to Saint Pius X changing the church designation from a mission to a parish.
On July 1, 2018, Father Goodly began his ministry as Pastor at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sulphur! We feel blessed and look forward to many years together!
